"Making a Splash" by Joan Carver
Author: Joan Carver

The title of this book, "Making a Splash", by Joan Carver, is full of paintings that the artists is exhibiting in a Solo Show by the same name.  Joan Carver's enthusiasm is as enchanting as her artwork.
Ocean inspirations, imbued with the colors of the sea, fine their way into her paintings.  Sea-glass hues and fluid designs are in each brushstroke.  Images of shells, fish, seahorses or starfish will make appearances in her pieces --sometimes they are in the hidden messages.

Displayed, across the pages, are paintings containing  various styles and techniques. Owning an Art School for sixteen years in Charlotte, N.C. encouraged me to always learn new techniques and styles to offer my students to keep them current, motivated, and enthusiastic; therefore as result I have a variety of artwork. This book contains a collection of some of my favorite pieces that I have created over the years.
